Yesterday when I was browsing trough some of my contact's sets on polyvore I came across this awesome one made by the very talented and stylish henedina. The set shows two amazing Mike & Chris jackets and with her amazing eye for details henedina has picked out some amazing accessories to wear with them. Lately people have been uploading so much crap to the website (I'm talking about the backgrounds and "image art" not connected to fashion at all), but sets like this one reminds me why I love polyvore so much. You can find the product details here.

VOGUE: The Chronicles of Kiera
I just love the editorial "The Chronicles of Kiera" photographed by Arthur Elgort. The complete story appeared in the June 2007 issue of Vogue. I'm not a big fan of Kiera -but in this editorial she looks fantastic. There's something about the atmosphere that's so sweet and right now I wish I could make my own little trip to Africa. I've never been there, but it must be such an amazing experience to travel there. Have any of you ever been there? I'm not exactly sure why, but this editorial makes me think of Phileas Fogg making his trip around the world in 80 days... love it! :) And the picture where she's giving milk to the baby elephant is just ADORABLE!

Balenciaga love
I love these scarves from the Balenciaga fall 07 runway show. To be honest I'm not a big fan of people who wear palestina scarves and don't wash their hair... but if it's done in a tasteful way like this -it doesn't look that bad. No... actually it looks awesome. I won't start wearing a palestina scarf myself anytime soon, but I might look around for something like it for fall. A scarf with more of a Native-American style print and nice detailing would be great :)

I want a sportmax scarf, please!
To be honest I've never been a big fan of Sportmax. I didn't pay much attention to their fall 07 collection either... but when I saw a picture of Jessica Stam wearing a mustard yellow scarf when I read a fashion magazine the other day I had to have a look! The mustard scarf is still my favourite piece from the collection -but there's a few other scarves I really like too. I find the feather detailing pretty chic. The scarves look so great and I will definitely be wearing something like it for fall! Yet another thing to add to my wishlist...

Vintage
Who doesn't love Nasty Gal Vintage? This girl always have great, unique vintage pieces up for grabs. If you adore fashion and have a great eye for detail you should check out some of her auctions. You might be lucky and end up with a something you really like. I can't buy anything online myself right now -which is really frustrating. But in a few months I turn 18 and then I'm sure I'll buy a lot from this wonderful "ebay-er". She has some auctions up right now and here are a few of my own favourites... you should check them out :)
"This vintage dress is so cute...Awesome 80s Pierre Cardin gold and silver lamé sweater dress features slouchy sleeves, tent fit and amazing large paisley print! Stretchy midweight knit material, sleeves are shown cuffed--looks good uncuffed too! Wear it over black leggings or alone with your favorite gold pumps...and get ready to dance! Cute over jeans too!" Click here to place your bid.
"This vintage dress is so cute! Black semi-sheer 70s disco mini dress features adorable wildflower print, deep v neck and back, and gathered shoulders with little bow-ties! Stretch waist. Model is wearing a slip that is not included, dress is best worn with a slip underneath. A beautiful fall dress...great with patent leather pumps!" Click here to place your bid.
"This vintage tunic dress is just incredible...rainbow and silver metallic dropwaist tent dress features keyhole neckline, billowy sleeves and hidden belt that can be worn half-in, half-out to creat a blouson effect in the rear while being belted in the front--adorable! Semi-sheer and best worn with a slip. Very short, can be worn as a mini dress or tunic! Amazing!" Click here to place your bid.

Trends of the future...
SPORTY
Many of the spring 08 collections will have pieces inspired by elements from the world of sports. This doesn't mean you'll have to wear functional active wear all summer -but there will be focus on function. For example elastic materials, practical pockets, cuts inspired by sportswear. Adding vibrant colour will complete the sporty feel.
BACK TO THE 90S
We remember the neon colours well from the 90s and now it looks like this has inspired many designers. Limegreen and bright yellow will be used as accent colours while the rest of the clothes grey, black, white and silver.
CLEAR COLOURS
Intense pastel colours and brights like red, yellow and blue. Go for color!
This fall go for something like purple, or blue. The spring 08 runway will be full of bright colours for sure.

Malene Birger fall 07
Malene Birger is one of my favourite designers from Scandinavia. The fall 07 collection looks amazing. I'm not sure everyone who's reading my blog has heard about this designer, but Malene Birger continues to increase in popularity. Today the company has opened nearly 750 doors around the globe, with sales in over 32 countries. Looks like everything is moving in the right direction for this talented Danish designer... here are my personal favourites from the fall 07 collection, enjoy <3

Read, wear & wash your news
Who says you have to read newspapers to stay updated on what's going on in the world? With t-post.se you can have your news printed on a t-shirt, read it, wear it and look cool. There's no reason why news shouldn't be fashionable too -right? Subscribing to t-post is a lot like subscribing to a magazine, but instead of receiving magazines you get cute t-shirts. Every six weeks you'll be excited to find a new t-shirt in your mailbox -with a design based on a current news item and the shirt's topic printed on the inside. T-post only print the exact to those who are subscribers at the time. They want subscribers to be unique in their t-shirts. Try it out :)

Hello, Miss Leopard...
A bit more personal blog post, I guess! I took some pictures today and wanted to show you guys the dress I bought. It was 50% off from the store I've been working at this summer. I like it a lot, but I'm not sure when to wear it -any suggestions?

The tale of the ugly duckling...
Feathers, it has been one of the big surprises on the fall runway this year. Dresses with feather trims, feather coats, chic white feather evening dresses and strange headpieces made from feathers. Of course feathers look amazing on the runway (like everything else)... but how can you add some feathers to your own wardrobe and look like an elegant swan instead off a ugly duckling?
THE RUNWAY LOOKS
From the top left: Michael Kors, Ralph Rucci, Rock & Republic, Catherine Malandrino.
HOW TO WEAR IT
I'm sure most of you agree with me when I say the peacock's tail feather has to be the most wonderful feather in the world. People have used them to decorate their homes, flower bouquets and gifts forever. Now there's no reason why you shouldn't wear it as a fashion accessory. In this set I went for a chic peacock necklace and printed scarf. The colours of the peacock feather goes well with leather and silky fabrics. For product details click here.
If you're not into feathers -no one says you have to wear real ones. Go for something like a top with a simple print, or jewelry shaped as feathers. For product details click here.
Wearing something like a feather trim skirt, or jacket with discrete feather detailing is another way to look stylish and chic -without overdoing it. Going for a classic black and white look won't hurt you either. For product details click here.
Feathers can be very feminine. If you're a girly girl wearing something like this grey feather dress with a cute jacket in the same colour and pink details is a winner. Pearls and a silk scarf will complete your look. For product details click here.
