Some fall favourites

Saturday was amazing.
I haven't thought about anything else for the last couple of days.

Got home early today, slept for a few hours and then spent the rest of the day looking at pictures I've saved on my computer. Here's some fall inspiration...

Plaids, plaids, plaids

Picture: 3. 1 Phillip Lim

I feel like I woke up one morning and all of a sudden plaids were everywhere. I don't know exactly what I've missed out on... clothes with plaids haven't exactly been a favourite of mine, even though I desperately wanted a red and black plaid jacket from H&M once.

I don't know exactly why I dislike plaids. Maybe it's because I associate them with awkward plaid skirts i used to wear when I was younger, or perhaps there's some other reason...

Anyway how do you feel about this trend?

I went ahead and made a few outfits with polyvore to convince myself plaids can be wearable. I would actually wear these...

And everyone is talking about the television show based on the gossip girl books. I haven't seen it yet, but I hear the actors wear lots of pretty clothes. I hope it airs in Norway soon... if not I'll have to download some episodes ;) Anyway, I found this screenshot of one of the actors when I was reading & For The Love Of Fashion today. A great way to wear plaids :)

Cover your head

I've been saving my hair for a while now. It was long and pretty just the way I wanted it, but very very dry... so I had to go to the hairdresser and as usual I left the saloon very dissatisfied. She cut my hair in a sort of bob style with a horrible fringe and I just cried for hours when I got home. After this horrible haircut I've started wearing my hair back with a stupid hair-bow (I hate them)... and I intend to do so until it's a little longer. Or maybe I should try something like this out? :( From the top: Joanna Mastroianni, Stella McCartney, Threeasfour, Vera Wang

Where's your red shades?

Tired of all the oversized black sunglasses out there? Well, good news for you! Lately stars have been spotted wearing shades with bright crimson frames all over Hollywood. A couple of these cheerful shades is just what you need to spice up your spring wardrobe. "I love the red aviators," Ashlee Simpson says of her Marc Jacobs sunnies.
"Red is my favorite color—plus, they’re sassy!"

Good old denim

Our favourite fabric has taken on fresh forms:
a loose fitted dress from DKNY, very cool baggy shorts from Anna Sui, a playful romper from Marc by Marc Jacobs and a crazy pair of buckled pants from Alexandre Herchcovich. It's great to have different options if we ever get tired of classic jeans. Yeah right, like that's ever going to happen... but we love the looks anyway! :) <3

Spill it!
